Hey. You okay? Here’s something about me, just for you. Yeah, you.

I’m male, 36, live just outside Glasgow, Scotland in a house with windows and three cats. I’m glad I have more windows than cats. I’ve a soft spot for the strays of this world.

After school, I studied Theatre Arts, Sound Recording, TV and Video Production. My skill-set is rusty but solid. I’m an excellent man-manager. I don’t mind wearing a suit.

I’ve been a librarian, a salesman, an IT helpdesk monkey, an IT manager, a Project Manager, a general office administrator, a sound tech, and a full-time musician. I’m currently a part-time musician and computer whizz-kid. I gig occasionally throughout the UK. I play the bass guitar competently and co-write some songs.

The writing? It’s a hobby. I’m a poet at heart. Got around 800 poems and songs here – no shit. I’m surprised at the number myself. Most of them were written between 2003 and 2005. A lot of them are really good. I wrote them to try to keep myself sane. I usually only show them to people I know. If I get to know you, just ask.

I had an old blog years back. I’ll pull the best out of it and post it here. You’ll notice by the categories. They’ll be dated, but I like them.

I’ve suffered from depression a lot of my adult life, interspersed with brief periods of what could be called normality. I took a real down-turn in 2006. This Gawker stuff is me trying to get back into the rhythm of writing again. It’s helping. As is Gawker itself, and the commentators.
